Auden’s col trek is famous for high altitude trek,beautiful high altitude trek for treaking it connected through rudugaira valley to bhilanga it is situated at 5,490 meters (18,010 ft) in the west side of the direction there are ridge coming from jogin which is (6465 meter) auden’s col trek is recommended place for foreigners groups in india this is best place for peoples who loves high altitude adventure  you can visit here in the month of June to September there are so many ridges which makes your way difficult there are also so many narrow cliffs that considered to be difficult but I am sure you’ll enjoy it.

 

Trekking

Probably Auden's col trek is one of the most dangerous passes in gardwal when you are passing the auden's col you will see the Khatling glacier which looks dangerous but beautiful at the same time after passing the glacier you see mayali pass is situated at the height of 5,000 meters above the sea level it is another hidden gem in Uttrakhand Himalayas from the ancient time you can do clicks photos make videos it will look very beautiful in the background .

 

Route

The trekking route is depends on the weather condition and the ability of  the experience person as well as schedule is most important thing.

Gangotri (3050m) : first you need to reach Gangotri there are train , bus , car or taxi services are available from new delhi or Dehradun to haridwar or Rishikesh from Rishikesh bus and taxi services are available to go to Gangotri through Uttarkashi in Uttarkashi you can purchase provisions like food if you wanna stay there then there are you can stay in rent houses and there are mountaineering school called Nehru institute of mountaineering the best mountaineering school , you and rent the equipment from here for mountaineering you can also hire guide from here which are very experienced high altitude porters in Uttarkashi it is a very good idea to spend a day in Gangotri and after a day spend in next early morning you can start your journey to trek .

 

Mayali pass

 

Mayali pass is situated at a height of 5,000 meters above the sea level ,mayali pass is called the toughest pass for the trekkers it is very challenging for them because of the height there are less oxygen and they get altitude sickness , dizziness , and short of breath peoples comes from outside of the place can’t do but the local peoples can easily does they naturally get’s adrenaline in their body which makes them easily climb the mayali pass  the track is started from guttu (10 kilometers far from auden’s trek )

The institute is one of the best mountaineering institute in india and also considered one of the most reputable mountaineering institute in Asia . it was established at Uttarkashi on 14^th November 1965 to the honor of great desired Pt. Jawaharlal nehru , the first prime minister of india  who was an mountain lover I aim of the institute is to introduced the young men ,women and students to give them the knowledge and training of the mountaineering from the various types of concepts and courses like BMC (basic Mountaineering course) they ensure that they give them proper guidelines , environment awareness  and conservation

·       Nala camp – is situated at 3750 metres high 6 hours of journey from Rishikesh you will reach nala camp the first glance of the Gangotri

 

 

 

·       Rudugaira base camp – is at rudu valley  of the gardwal himalyas it is known for their beautiful views of Gangotri’s peak it is considered as safe and easy peak it is good for the newbie who are starting out in the mountaineering field

 

·       Khatling Glacier base camp – is located in the district of tehri gardwal in the state of uttrakhand it is the most important glacier for uttrakhand because it is the main source of water the river called Bhilangna it is surrounded by glorious snow capped Himalyan peaks the trek distance is 45 kilometers long

 

 

·       Waterfall camp – It start toward chowki from the base camp which is around 8 kilometers away a heavy eye capturing waterfall you will see peoples comes here and doing fun play water games

·       Masar tal – is one of the isolated lake in the tehri gardwal region the lake surrounded by woodlands,meadows and snowny himalyam peaks the lake islocated at the route to bhalganga valleythis is made from the 2 bowl-shaped lakes.

 

·       Gauri kund – is a hindu religious site at base camp for trk to kedarnath temple  in uttrakhand,india it is also high altitude (6502 meters ) above the sea level what makes it famous is the hot water spring one of the religious site for hindus who comes to take a dip in it
